A nicely painted female figure from Nayarit, Mexico. This female is highly abstract but still expressive. She wears a large pectoral painted with white dots with her arms to both sides. There are other areas of white paint that decorate this figure.

This piece was owned by the Academy Award winning actor Anthony Quinn and published in the book about his collection and art that he created, “Anthony Quinn’s Eye: A Lifetime in Collecting and Creating Art” by Donald Kuspit, page 36. A promotional hard cover copy of this book signed by his wife Katherine to the fellow actor Elliott Gould will accompany this piece. She was a co-writer.

This piece has a repaired right from leg with restoration over the break line. Otherwise, in excellent condition.
